Thomas Clarence Newsom III, 52, of Decatur passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019.Graveside service is 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie with Pastor Chris Wann officiating.Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.Thomas was born Feb. 7, 1967, in Fort Worth to Thomas C. Newsom Jr. and Karen (Dick) Newsom. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1985.Thomas worked as a supervisor for Farmers Insurance in Oklahoma City. He enjoyed music and was a very talented pianist. Thomas was a member of the Community Church in Decatur.He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Newsom Jr.; brother Joe Newsom; and grandparents Alford and Hazel Dick and Clarence and Zella Newsom.Thomas is survived by his mother, Karen Newsom of Bowie; brothers Jason and James Newsom, both of Bowie; sister Cindy Sparks and husband, Heath, of Chico; niece Mia Sparks; nephews Tyler Sparks and Austin Newsom; and aunts Sharon Seigler and husband, Danny, of Bowie, Gracy Trapolino of Houston and Mildred Morgan and husband, Bill, of El Paso. ...

Ralph Hall, 84 - The Clermont Sun

Ralph was the beloved husband of Genevia Dailey Hall whom he married on August 14, 1959. Born in Ewing, KY on July 27, 1934, he was the son of the late Creed Hall, Sr. and Martisia Newsom Hall. Ralph grew up in Fleming County and moved to Maysville when he was around 18 years old to live with his aunt. Upon moving to the Cincinnati area in 1952, Ralph began his 41 year career with the Ford Motor Company working as a forklift operator until his retirement in 1994 from the Batavia plant. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a very mechanical person who could fix anything. He enjoyed working on cars and fixing appliances and televisions. Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by: five children, James T. Jones of Deerfield, OH, Signon O. (Kay) Jones of Phoenix, AZ, Dereda Lynn McCord of Batavia, OH, Rodney D. (Althea) Hall of Bethel, OH, and Anthony Scott (Marissa) Hall of Batavia, OH; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: a son, Ronald K. Hall; and two brothers, James M. Hall and Creed Hall, Jr. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 11, 2019 in the Chapel of the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home by Brent Keeton. Visitation was 10am-1pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Park with Military Funeral Honors performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and the Franklin Sousley VFW Post #1834. Pallbearers were Anthony Hall, Rodney Hall, Signon Jones, Rex Murray, Brent Gregory, and Blake Gregory.
